Mobile phones and breast cancer
Mobile phones and breast cancer Researchers from Taiwan showed that heavy use of smart phones increased the risk of breast cancer.1 The team colle... -
Australian radiation standards – do they protect us?
The Australian standard and Guidelines of the International Commission on Nonionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) are based on a number of premis... -
The Dangers of 5G to Children’s Health
Mobile and wireless technologies are a ubiquitous feature of modern life. Most U.S. adults own smartphones, a growing proportion are “smartphone-only” Internet users and over a fourth report being online “almost constantly.” -
Exposure in public places
To discover how much wireless radiation people are exposed to in public spaces, Swedish researchers measured the fields present in the Stockholm Central Railway Station in Sweden. They took measurements in over 1600 locations and found that exposures measured between 2,817 and 4,891 uW/m2. That's a much higher exposure than the 3-6 uW/cm2 recommended by the independent authors of the BioInitiative Working Group.

WiFi in homes and schools
When it comes to WiFi, are we exposed to more radiation from routers in schools or in homes? This is what electrical engineer and Director of Powerwatch has to say: (a) The school routers that I have measured have not been worse (i.e. more powerful) than home routers per se. There are also often many of them (1 to 3 routers per classroom or hall are common) which increases the RF power density. -
Impacts of wireless radiation
Doctors speak about the impacts of wireless radiation at the 'Cell Phones, Wireless And Children’s Health Symposium 2016 Pediatric Academic Societies', May 3, 2016. -
Infertility
A study just published in the Journal of Impotence Research has found that mobile phone radiation damages sperm potentially contributing to infertility. The researchers studied a group of 286 men attending an infertility clinic, who had normal or slightly reduced semen concentration levels. They found that men who used a mobile phone for more than ten years had DNA damage which could reduce their ability to father children. -
Wireless radiation, vitamin D and autoimmune diseases
Wireless radiation could be contributing to the symptoms of autoimmune, says Professor Trevor Marshall. In his presentation the 10th International Congress on Autoimmunity in Leipzig on April 7, Professor Marshall referred to conditions of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, from which many people with electromagnetic hypersensitivity suffer. According to Professor Martin Pall, these three conditions may have a common mechanism of action. -
Who is most likely to be at risk from radiofrequency (RF) radiation
Young people, the aged and those with cancer are the most likely to be at risk from radiofrequency (RF) radiation, according to a recent paper in ‘Reviews on Environmental Health.’ In their review of the scientific literature, Dr Mary Redmayne and Professor Olle Johansson, found that exposure affected a number of biological processes differently according to age. These may result in different effects on health and well-being. -
A message to schools & libraries about the risks of wireless radiation
A retired US physicist has called on libraries and schools to address the risks of wireless radiation. Dr Ronald Powell, who worked for the Executive Office of the President, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology, expressed concerns about the impact of wireless radiation in an open letter of 20 August. -
The truth about mobile phone and wireless radiation
A public lecture was presented by the School of Engineering, University of Melbourne, on 30th November titled "The truth about mobile phone and wireless radiation: what we know, what we need to find out, and what you can do now." The lecturer was Dr Devra Davis, Visiting Professor of Medicine at the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, and Visiting Professor of Medicine at Ondokuz Mayis University, Turkey. -
Devra Davis - The Truth about Mobile Phones & Wireless Radiation
The Honourable Professor Devra Davis is an award-winning scientist, author of over 200 scientific publications, scientific advisor to US and international organisations and founder of the Environmental Health Trust. She was a member of a team of scientists awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. In November 2015, Dr Davis visited Australia, presenting public lectures in Sydney and Melbourne.
