The results of a ten-year research project by the US National Toxicology Program (NTP) have shown that mobile phone radiation increased cancer rates in animals. The program was undertaken to test the idea that mobile phone radiation did not cause health problems. The reverse was, in fact, found. The scientists exposed rats to radiation from GSM and CDMA mobile phones over a two-year period.

Using wireless devices such as smart phones and ipads had a negative effect on memory and learning in a study which has implications for wireless classrooms. The research, conducted by Professor Geoff Kaurman, found that people absorbed information more effectively from printouts than from the screen.

Researchers from India conducted a survey of mobile phone use and symptoms in a town called Kottakuppam. Their results, published in January, show that users experienced a range of uncomfortable symptoms, including headaches, earaches, tinnitus, sore fingers and restlessness, fatigue, eye problems, sleep problems and hypertension.

Workers exposed to high magnetic fields in a power plant had reduced levels of testosterone and this could affect their reproductive function, said researchers.

The spinal cord acts like an antenna to receive electromagnetic fields, according to researchers from California. From their modelling, the scientists concluded that the spinal cord conducts external fields, with maximum effect observed in the FM radio band at approximately 100 MHz. At that frequency, the internal fields were sufficiently strong to potentially affect the central nervous system and breach the blood-brain-barrier.

A study just published in the Journal of Impotence Research has found that mobile phone radiation damages sperm potentially contributing to infertility. The researchers studied a group of 286 men attending an infertility clinic, who had normal or slightly reduced semen concentration levels. They found that men who used a mobile phone for more than ten years had DNA damage which could reduce their ability to father children.

Wireless radiation could be contributing to the symptoms of autoimmune, says Professor Trevor Marshall. In his presentation the 10th International Congress on Autoimmunity in Leipzig on April 7, Professor Marshall referred to conditions of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, from which many people with electromagnetic hypersensitivity suffer. According to Professor Martin Pall, these three conditions may have a common mechanism of action.

They're supposed to improve fitness and health, but here's a case where a wearable fitness device actually worsened the wearer's health. In 2014 a lady from Queensland bought a fitness armband with wireless function, designed to track the number of steps she took each day, and wore it continually, only taking it off once a week to charge it. Soon after, she developed serious problems.

The Australian National Register for Environmental Sensitivities (ANRES) has released its first data. Do you have any of the following sensitivities: Electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS), Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME), Lyme Disease, Biotoxin-related illness, Fibromyalgia, food sensitivity or fragrance sensitivity?

Young people, the aged and those with cancer are the most likely to be at risk from radiofrequency (RF) radiation, according to a recent paper in ‘Reviews on Environmental Health.’ In their review of the scientific literature, Dr Mary Redmayne and Professor Olle Johansson, found that exposure affected a number of biological processes differently according to age. These may result in different effects on health and well-being.

We love to receive good-news stories from our customers - like this one. A family hired our Home Test Kit to measure the electromagnetic fields in their home and this is what they reported. 'Our girl was extremely proactive and her bed was against the power meter. She observed direct emissions right where her head would lie in bed. So by moving her room around and placing her IPad away from her sleep position etc she was able to go to minimal emission readings on the gadgets.

Proposed legislation in Argentina aims to reduce public exposure to wireless radiation from mobile phones, base stations and WiFi. The bill, introduced by Deputy Gabriela Troiano, aims to protect people from both the heating and biological effects of wireless radiation and follows widespread public outcries against electromagnetic pollution. It proposes: to limit emissions from digital mobile phone base stations to 0.1 uW/cm2;
